Welcome.

Hello, I’m Rachel, and I’m so glad you're here. My passion lies in helping my clients cultivate healthier, more fulfilling relationships, beginning with the one they have with themselves. You may be curious about why my focus is on individual trauma therapy if my goal is to support relationships—great question!

When I first entered the mental health field, my aspiration was to work with couples. I wanted to understand the dynamics of healthy, secure, and lasting partnerships, which led me to earn my master’s degree in marriage, couple, and family therapy. After completing my graduate studies, I began my career in substance abuse treatment centers, supporting individuals grappling with addiction and their loved ones. To enhance my skills, I pursued additional training in emotionally focused couples therapy, covering everything from core EFT skills to specialized training addressing trauma, sexuality, and addiction.

In 2018, I established my private practice, initially focusing on couples. However, I soon noticed a recurring theme: while I could guide couples in identifying and disrupting their negative cycles of conflict and disconnection, they remained vulnerable to these patterns if either partner had unresolved trauma or childhood wounds. This realization led me to seek further specialized trauma training, as I felt it was essential to address these underlying issues to provide effective support.

In 2020, I completed my first EMDR training, which completely transformed my practice. For the first time, I witnessed clients genuinely heal from deep-seated wounds and childhood traumas, reshaping their negative core beliefs. Understanding that trauma alters our self-perception and worldview, I saw how healing these wounds not only changed how my clients viewed themselves but also how they experienced their lives.

Through deep introspection and inner work, my clients began to transform their lives. They learned to advocate for their needs, establish healthy boundaries, and forge aligned, fulfilling relationships for perhaps the first time. Today, I exclusively utilize EMDR and AIT modalities to work with individuals on trauma and healing, and I absolutely love this work. It’s a privilege to witness my clients evolve from states of codependency, low self-worth, and anxiety into a place of security within themselves and their relationships.

Ultimately, while our relationships with others often bring us to therapy, it is the healing of our relationship with ourselves that empowers us to move forward and create the fulfilling connections we desire. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly. Thank you for considering me in your healing journey.
